*sighs*

Well, I did say I wasn't going to change anything and that I'd be prepared to accept the fate of deletion.

It's still hard, just seeing them not there, seeing so many favorites gone...

There really isn't anything I can say that hasn't already been said be so many others. I understand the reasoning governing the rule, but there are so many other ways that the site could have gone about to fix the problem. Save their own ass - that's politics. *shrug*

At any rate, much like Holly said on another journal, sit and wait for it to be gone. It's only a matter of time before the rest of wdmc is gone. (I find it highly amusing that they deleted only the first chapter of that story when almost every chapter has lyrics to entire songs in it, and the title of the story isn't even my work...I also find it amusing that Bittersweet Love wasn't touched when it too, has lyrics in the majority of all chapters while the story completely deleted is the fic with the least amount of lyrics. Such wonderful timing, the site has as well...)

As that may be, I don't believe any more updates will be made. In fact, I doubt I'll touch my membership unless I review something (that happens to still be up....*sniffs*). All future updats and reposts will be on the new site when it's completed.

For some last words on my fics, thank you everyone who ever read and thank you for all the comments and reviews I recieved. I'm honored that so many people took the time to read my work, and even more honored that I was able to continue writing for you.
I believe Holly said this as well, [livejournal.com profile] thegreatbreak didn't come a moment too soon.

My heart and luv goes out to all that lost today, in the past few weeks, and who will lose in the coming times.

Hang on, don't lose faith, and don't stop writing.

Ahh, the feelings that come along with any mass uprising. Anger, resentment, depression, doubt, aggression...the need for a fight, the need for a solution, the holding of hands and coming together... Meh, I'm going to bed.

Hugs.

Meh...

Okay, okay, so Adam (the hubby) just explained to me why ff.net probably has the rule of no song lyrics...that whole copyrighted stuff. You must have expressed permission....

Meh.

I'm still upset.

And I updated wdmc click here to go there , but I'm too tired to update RtW. Tomorrow. Or Friday....

I've moved into the just don't care mode now....

One of those days you just want to go back to bed. : /

Sweet dreams.

Well, I'm sure that everyone knows of the latest going-on's (did I just make that 'word' up?) at ff.net. And all I have to say to that is, bullshit. That is bullshit, seriously. Tell me, please, the difference between writing fanfiction, which is based off of another's work and giving credit and disclaimers and using musical lyrics, which is someone else's work, and giving credit and disclaimers?

Songs set the mood. How many movies do you see that have no music? Eh? It pulls in the emotions, it connects the scene(s) and the reader (or watcher, in the case of a movie/television show) to emotions.

So. I'm (already being in a tempermental and pissy mood) saying fuck it. I am not going back through what I have of three different stories and editing out the song lyrics that I gave credit for. I am not wasting my time to change my writing and lose my reviews (of which have given me considerable criticism, confidence and many smiles) just so that I can mold to fit someone else's writing standards.

I'll risk losing it all rather than conform.

With that being said, (sorry, Holly! if you, for some reason, don't get to read either, tell me and I'll give them to you) I am going to update both Ride the Wind and What Dreams May Come tonight (please don't kill me for the many mistakes that may be present...LoL) and take my chances.

They have rules, but I have rights and opinions. And options of going elsewhere.

*much love to anyone other than ff.net*

Hmm, so I suppose the point of these things is to actually update and write in them, aye? I suppose I could use the excuse that I'm a busy girl... but that'd only be half the truth. I have this terrible habit of getting sidetracked. Constantly. I start writing, go to look something up and end up reading for a while...LoL.

But. The good news is this - both What Dreams May Come and Ride the Wind will be updated in the very near future. The hold up has been, well, my inability to be happy with things, my laziness when it comes to actually fixing beta read work, and the fact that my lovely and wonderful usual beta, Lizaloo has been having computer problems. All that and of course, both of us have that thing called real life that tends to jump in at any time. *wrinkles nose*

But, look for updates within the week, I'd guess. (but don't hold your breath, I'd hate to be responsible for anyone passing out)

And in case anyone was wondering, as of right now I do not plan on completely leaving ff.net. I have my stories started there, and unless someone else decides for me, I will finish them there. But I have to admitt, I'm really excited about the site we're building for[profile] [profile] [livejournal.com profile] thegreatbreak
Everything is coming along great. *smiles*

Huggles to all.

A snippit from wdmc )

*winks* And if you're interested to know, I've begun work on the next chapter, although I have a feeling it'll be just as difficult as this one was to write.

*hugs*
