Watching as time goes by...
Sep. 6th, 2006 10:04 pmOkay, soooo...today is the one year mark of my last update on What Dreams May Come (or, anything, for that matter) and...I didn't update. No, really, I've already shot myself in the foot for not making my own deadline. I really am sorry (for anyone that cares at this point...).
BUT - I do have about half of the chapter completed and in the hands of the lovely Mands for beta reading. The second half is coming, kind of relying on how the first half turns out. What I do have, is 12 pages of size 12 font, Times New Roman and 4 822 words. Generally, each chapter for wdmc averages about 6 500 words and 20 some odd pages. So...see? I'm getting there! I may be further along than I think or this may end up being a long chapter. *nods* Someone tell me this is good news...please...Ohmy - I'm begging, aren't I?
While I'm busy begging - curiously - I have Mands to beta read, but I was wondering if there was anyone else out there who might be interested in helping to beta read the rest of wdmc? I need pushing and prodding, as well as someone who can handle my random rambles and hashing out ideas while I'm writing. If anyone is interested, drop me a line. Lizaloo, the previous beta, is currently indisposed and not able to beta for me right now. I feel like a lost little puppy...
But, aside from that news, I also have a good reason for not writing as much as I would have liked - I've been actively working on things at UR.org. *nods* Yep. And do you know that our first anniversary is coming up next month? Exciting.
Okay, see, I'm avoiding both writing and my homework right now, so I should get to that...one of those...
Love n huggles.

on 2006-09-08 05:07 am (UTC)Ah, no problem. See, I randomly make up for all the times I'm absent by suddenly spending hours upon hours doing things. You do need to come back, but because I miss you not because I'm that demanding. lol. One request - watch for posts from tgbmods and reply to me sometimes, lol. At least reply to the one relating to spotlighting and let me know. That's as demanding as I'll be. =)
And ohhhh, I love when you brainstorm.

on 2006-09-08 05:12 am (UTC)Ah, Rita's out of your hair finally. As annoying as she was at times, you miss her, don't you?

(I hope you feel better and that Natasha feels better soon so that you can sleep again.)

on 2006-09-09 04:05 pm (UTC)Yeah, definitely. We spent the entire summer together (the most consecutive time spent together since before she left for college, weird), so it's strange to not have her lurking around so that we can spaz about something I just remembered or found. It's easier this year, though, since she's just a phone call away.

on 2006-09-09 04:12 pm (UTC)I'm on my way to go shopping for Adam's neice's birthday and then to her birthday party, but I'm thinking we may not go out tonight so hopefully I should be around later on this evening.
Thanks, darling.
I'll talk to you later then. =)
